David’s interior design career is an organic extension of his time spent working as a vintage modern furniture dealer.  A former engineer, his passion and expertise for collecting Mid-century Modern furniture and other timeless designs shaped him into one of the premier sources for some of the world’s most renowned Interior Designers and Architects.  Selections from David's inventory over the years have appeared in Elle Decor, Architectural Digest and Domino Magazine to name a few. He has sold pieces to Courteney Cox, Kate Spade, Billy Joel, Annie Leibowitz, Gwen Stephanie and noted others.

His own design work has been featured in Alive Magazine, St. Louis Magazine, the Ladue News, Elegant Living and the St. Louis Post Dispatch. In 2012, he debuted his first designer showhouse room in a William Bernoudy home. The custom, refinished desk from his showhouse space was featured on the cover of Elegant Living magazine and later sold to Paul McCartney.

In 2014 he placed in the best living room category for the At Home St Louis Architect & Designer Awards. In 2015, had the unique honor of having two projects place in the Best Living Room category with one winning top honors. He also was recognized as a finalist in the Best Window Treatment category. In 2017 he was a finalist in the Best Foyer category. David has also been honored by St. Louis magazine’s A-list awards for his Mid-century Modern expertise.

Although known for his expertise in Vintage Modern furnishings, David works in other styles for clients and helps infuse his signature glamor and love for textiles into their interiors no matter what the style.

David currently is working on select interior design projects as well as devoting time to Interior Motives, an online offering of high end vintage furnishings. He enjoys traveling to source items, often with his Afghan Hound, Daphne.
